2016, Bay Colt.
Fast Company ex Reign of Fire

Head of horse, atlas

SUNDAY Racing bought this colt at The Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale by Noel Hayes for €35,000 before being syndicated into 5 shares. After a little break to get over the exertions of the sales experience he was sent to Patrick Prendergast to begin the process of becoming a racehorse.

The colt was a hardy looking
tremendous walker and thus far Patrick
has reported things to be on track.

It is not possible to ascertain ability at this stage but it is possible to identify issues around temperament and general health and wellbeing which might impinge on his ability to be a racehorse and thankfully there are no issues to report. He seems like a horse that will operate with some ease in the ground and he also looks like he will be a reasonably early type so we are hopeful of starting him off in May once the 6f 2yo maidens begin.

Update: 15th May 2018. Spark has been our Spark of hope in the early season of 2018. He ran a hugely encouraging 2nd on debut in Naas before finishing 3rd in a high quality winners race in Navan behind the hugely promising Sergei Prokofiev. Patrick will take time to find a suitable race for Spark on his next run. He will be raced sparingly over the summer months with a view towards targeting the €300,000 Tattersalls Sales race on Irish Champions Weekend
